Tylode for Windows, and a sidebar your way
The desktop app, a reorganized sidebar you can reorder, whiteboard templates and the expanded call view.
New
- Desktop app for Windows. The same Tylode in its own window: it stays in the system tray, notifies you with Windows notifications, shows unread items on its icon and updates itself. Download it at tylode.com/descargar. The Mac version will come later.
- Sign in with Google in the desktop app, through your browser: when you're done, the app opens signed in.
- Seven whiteboard templates: concept map, weekly study plan and group project for students; business model canvas, client pipeline and project brief for freelancers; and goals for the year.
- Expanded call view. Click the voice channel you're in to see everyone full size: cameras, photos and whatever is being shared. Any camera can be spotlighted or made full screen.
- Day view in the calendar, in half-hour slots. "Today" opens it.
- Profile photo, in Settings → Account.
- Delete your account from Settings → Account, without having to write to us.
- Invite your friends: for every three who pay for Pro, one month of Pro free. They pay €7.50 for their first month.
- 7-day Pro trial for every new account, no card needed.
- Duplicate a page, move it into another, favorites and icons. In every page's ⋯: Duplicate (with its subpages), Move to… another page and Add to favorites, which pins it at the top of the sidebar. And above the title, Add icon.
- Share notebooks and Studio designs with a link. Click Share, choose whether it can edit or only view, how many times it can be used (once, as many as you say or unlimited) and when it expires (1 day, 7 days or never). Whoever opens it goes straight in, and with edit access you work together, seeing each other's changes right away. What's shared with you shows up under Shared with you and in My drive.
- Import loose .md files from Create → Import Markdown (.md): each file becomes a page, with its title (including the one in the file's front matter, if it has one), lists, checklists, tables, code and images from the web.
Improvements
- An opening animation, on mobile, the desktop app and the browser: the T of the logo builds itself and then opens up to take you into the app. It plays once each time you open the app (not on reload), a tap skips it, and it doesn't appear if you have "reduce motion" turned on.
- Reorganized sidebar: Personal (My drive, personal calendar, Studio and Notebooks), Workspace (calendar, boards, whiteboards and chats), Pages and Channels. Press and hold any section or item and drag it to order things your way.
- "Create" in the Pages header, with a new page or from a template. The inbox is back under the Assistant.
- Pages and voice channels can be reordered by pressing and holding them, with a finger too. Channels can be renamed.
- Settings is a page, with grouped sections and "← Back" to return to where you were.
- Home shows your recent notebooks and designs, with their covers. In Studio, recent designs come first, with a thumbnail of their first page.
- Confirmations and alerts use Tylode's look, not the browser's windows.
- Your plan, next to your name in the top bar.
- When you open a whiteboard, the view adjusts so all of its content fits.
Fixes
- In a frozen workspace, joining a voice channel no longer leaves you waiting for an approval that never comes: it tells you the workspace is frozen.
