Color across the app, a new calendar and Google Calendar for everyone

Eight tones for calendars, events, boards and workspaces; your own accent color; a calendar on Home and a redesigned Calendar page with tags and templates; Google Calendar open to everyone; and gestures in the mobile chat.

New

  • Google Calendar, for everyone. Google has approved Tylode, so anyone can connect their Google Calendar and keep it in two-way sync, from the iPhone too. More in Calendar.
  • Color across the app. There's a palette of eight tones (apricot, pistachio, sky, wheat, peony, mint, coral and lavender) for calendars, events, boards, columns, cards, database options and notes on whiteboards and in notebooks. When you create an event, Tylode suggests a color from its title (a birthday, peony; an exam, lavender).
  • Your workspace's color. Each workspace has its own little square with its initial in its tone. Admins pick it in Settings → Workspace.
  • Your accent color. In Settings → General → Appearance you pick gold, coral, pistachio, sky, lavender or peony. It's used for what's selected, links, icons and, very softly, borders.
  • A calendar on Home. It replaces "Next few days". On the left, the day in large type and what's coming up; on the right, the month, with each day colored by its tags. In ⋯ you choose which calendars and boards to show.
  • Tags on events. Important, Meeting and Deadline come built in, and you can have up to six. One click adds or removes a tag and a double click renames it. Tags in the workspace calendar are shared by the whole team.
  • Event templates. Save what you repeat ("Gym", "Client call") with its duration and color, and drag it onto a day in the calendar: Tylode asks for the time and creates it.
  • Chat like on your phone. Swipe a message to reply, or press and hold it to forward, copy, pin or delete it. The pinned message shows at the top of the chat, and in Chats you see unread messages from your other workspaces.

Improvements

  • The Calendar page, redesigned. No title, so the calendar takes the full height. On wide screens there's a column on the left with the month, the views (Day, Week, Month and Agenda), New event and your templates. Each event sits in a box of its color, and events without a color have no box.
  • A cleaner design. Frames and cards swap their border for a soft shadow, corners are continuous and the main button is back to the brand gold. Dark mode keeps its neutral gray.
  • The bottom bar on mobile now floats over the content and is translucent.
  • Chat header with the other person's photo, and shorter to leave room for the conversation.

Fixes

  • Welcome on mobile. The buttons in the second step no longer spill out of the card.
  • Colored borders finally show. Some borders that should have been colored (the selection, the focus) were gray across the app.
