The redesign Tylode needed (and you won't want to undo)
No more blank pages. Your pages are now dashboards you build your way, moving and resizing blocks like magnets on a fridge, with card galleries, photo covers and templates that arrive ready-made.
New
- Your pages, turned into dashboards. The biggest thing to happen to Tylode yet. Click + Magnet on any page and start placing magnets wherever you like: they move, resize and snap into a grid on their own, like magnets on a fridge. Some text here, a calendar there, your tasks in a corner in their own color. Your page, your way, and nothing changes if you like it as it is.
- Magnets for everything. Text, a callout with a background color, an image, a clock (make it big and it shows your agenda for the next few days), a sections box with your subpages, and Tylode's own elements: database, gallery, calendar, board and whiteboard. The calendar switches to a compact version on its own when its magnet is small.
- Card galleries that open as a page. Click a card and it opens big: cover, properties you add, rename or change type right there, a for your favorites, and below, free text with photos, lists, tables and even other databases.
- Tabs inside cards. "Content", "Summary", "Quiz"… each tab with its own text. Double-click to rename it.
- Clean gallery. Galleries start without bars or filters: just your cards. The ⋯ brings every option back when you need it.
- Photo covers. Upload your own image as the cover of any page and position it by dragging with Reposition. The usual colors and gradients are still there.
- Templates that arrive ready-made. Personal home page, Subject organizer, Project management and Financial dashboard now start as dashboards, with a cover, colored magnets and everything in place. Find them in the Marketplace.
- Tags and created time in databases. Several colored tags per row, and a column that records on its own when each row was created.
Improvements
- All of Tylode understands dashboards. Search finds what you write in any magnet, version history saves and restores them, duplicating and templates copy them, PDF and Markdown export them in order, and Tylor and the API read them.
- Publish your dashboards to the Marketplace. A page built as a dashboard travels whole, with its magnets, its databases and its cover.
- Clear notices when you reach your plan's limit. If your plan doesn't allow more databases, boards or whiteboards in a workspace, Tylode explains it in a window and shows you the plans.
Fixes
- No more broken blocks. When a database can't be created because of your plan's limit, there's no longer a broken block left on the page.
- Boards and whiteboards explain why they couldn't be created, instead of doing nothing.
- Duplicating a page or creating it from a template now keeps its cover.
