Pages and editor
Block reference
A page is a stack of blocks. Besides the usual text blocks, Tylode has its own blocks that bring databases, boards, whiteboards, the calendar, polls and voice channels into the page, so a single page can hold everything a project needs.
Insert any block by typing / and its name, or from the + insert panel at the bottom right of the page. See Writing in the editor for how both work. In the tables below, the slash name is what you type or see in the menu in each app language.
Standard blocks
| Block | What it's for | Slash name (EN) | Slash name (ES) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paragraph | Plain text. The default block. | Paragraph | Párrafo |
| Heading | Section titles, levels 1 to 6. | Heading 1 … Heading 6 | Encabezado 1 … Encabezado 6 |
| Toggle heading | A heading 1–3 that folds the blocks nested under it. | Toggle Heading 1 … 3 | Encabezado Plegable 1 … 3 |
| Quote | A highlighted quotation. | Quote | Cita |
| Bullet list | Unordered list items. | Bullet List | Lista con Viñetas |
| Numbered list | Ordered list items, numbered automatically. | Numbered List | Lista Numerada |
| Check list | To-do items with a checkbox that fills in gold when ticked. | Check List | Lista de Verificación |
| Toggle list | An item you can expand or collapse to show nested blocks. | Toggle List | Lista Plegable |
| Code block | Code or preformatted text in a monospaced font. | Code Block | Bloque de Código |
| Divider | A horizontal line to separate sections. | Divider | Divisor |
| Table | A simple table of text cells. | Table | Tabla |
| Image | An uploaded or linked image. | Image | Imagen |
| Video | An uploaded or linked video with a player. | Video | Vídeo |
| Audio | An uploaded or linked audio file with a player. | Audio | Audio |
| File | Any other uploaded or linked file, shown as a download. | File | Archivo |
The slash menu also has Emoji, which opens the emoji picker (not a block). Many standard blocks have Markdown and keyboard shortcuts; see Writing in the editor.
Tables
Click inside a table and use Tab / Shift+Tab to move between cells. Hover over a row or column to show its handle; the handle's menu lets you Add row above, Add row below, Add column left, Add column right, Delete row and Delete column.
A table block holds plain text. If you need typed columns, filters, sorting or views, use a Database block instead.
Images, video, audio and files
These blocks can upload a file from your computer (up to 10 MB in the editor) or embed one from a web address. See Upload images and files for allowed types.

Embed
Shows content from another service right inside the page: a Figma file, a video, a map, a spreadsheet…
- Type
/embed(or/figma,/youtube,/maps…) and press Enter. - Paste the link where it says Paste a Figma, YouTube, Google Maps link….
- Press Enter or click Embed.
Once embedded, the bar above the content shows the provider's name, Open (opens the original in a new tab) and Change (to paste a different link).
Supported providers:
| Provider | Links that work |
|---|---|
| Figma | Any Figma share link |
| YouTube | Video, youtu.be, Shorts and live links |
| Vimeo | Video links |
| Loom | Share links |
| Google Maps | Place links, links with coordinates, or Maps embed links |
| Google Docs, Sheets and Slides | Document, spreadsheet and presentation links |
| CodeSandbox | Sandbox links |
| CodePen | Pen links |
| StackBlitz | Project links |
| Spotify | Track, album, playlist, episode, show and artist links |
Only https:// links are accepted. Any other address shows a message saying it can't be embedded, with a link to open it in a new tab instead. Embedded content follows the provider's own sharing settings: people who can't open a Google Doc or Figma file on its own won't see it in the page either.
Database
Creates a new database inside the page: a table with typed columns that you can filter, sort and view as a table, kanban, calendar, gallery, chart or timeline. It starts with two columns, a text column and a Select column with one option. Their default names are currently in Spanish ("Nombre" and "Estado"); rename them to whatever you need.
Each Database block creates its own database; it doesn't link an existing one. Databases count toward your plan's limit per workspace (2 on Free, 5 on Pro, unlimited on Premium). If you've reached it, you'll see an error saying so.
Learn everything about databases in Databases, Columns and Views.
Calendar
Embeds the workspace calendar, the same one you open from Calendar in the sidebar. There's only one per workspace, so the block doesn't ask you to choose: it shows a compact month view where you can move between months, open events and add new ones with the + on each day. The Week view is only on the full calendar. Anything you add here also appears in Calendar, and the other way round. See Calendar.
Board
Embeds a Trello-style board with lists and cards. When you insert it, the block shows Choose a board to embed here with the workspace's boards, plus Create new board. The embedded board is fully usable: add, move and open cards without leaving the page. New boards count toward your plan's board limit. See Boards.
Whiteboard
Embeds an infinite canvas with notes, shapes and connectors. When you insert it, choose one from Choose a whiteboard to embed here or click Create new whiteboard. New whiteboards count toward your plan's whiteboard limit. See Whiteboards.
Poll
A question with options that people vote on, right in the page.
- Type
/polland press Enter. A New poll form appears. - Write the question in What do you want to ask?.
- Add options one by one in New option (press Enter or click + after each). You need at least two. Remove one with its trash icon.
- Optionally:
- Keep One vote per person ticked so each person picks a single option, or untick it to let people vote for several.
- Set a date in Closes on. From that date the poll stops accepting votes.
- Click Publish poll.
To vote, click an option; click it again to take your vote back. With one vote per person, choosing another option moves your vote. Each option shows its number of votes and percentage, your choice is highlighted, and the totals update live as people vote. Below the options you'll see the total and whether it's one vote per person or multiple votes allowed.
The person who created the poll sees a Close button to stop voting at any time and Reopen to open it again. A closed poll shows This poll is closed.
Anyone who can see the page can vote, including members with the Read-only role. Voting isn't possible in a frozen workspace.
Voice channel
Embeds one of the workspace's voice channels so people can jump into a call from the page. When you insert it, choose a channel from Choose a voice channel to embed here or click Create new channel.
The block shows the channel name, who's in it right now (with a muted icon for people who've muted themselves) and a Join button. Once you're in, the button changes to Leave. The call keeps going if you move to another page; you control it from the voice bar at the bottom of the sidebar. See Voice channels.
Index
A live list of the page's direct subpages, each one a link. It updates by itself when you add, rename or trash a subpage, so it's a good table of contents for a section. If the page has none yet, it shows This page doesn't have any subpages yet. It doesn't list deeper levels (subpages of subpages). See Organizing pages.
The block menu
Hover over any block and two controls appear to its left:
- + (Add block) adds a new block below and opens the slash menu.
- The drag handle (Open block menu, the six dots).
Drag the handle up or down to move the block, along with any blocks nested under it. Click it to open the block menu:
- Delete removes the block.
- Colors sets a Text or Background color for the whole block.
You can also move the block with Ctrl+Shift+↑ / ↓ (Cmd+Shift+↑ / ↓ on Mac).
